Caryl Mussenden, M.D. is an obstetrician/gynecologist and surgeon who is board certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has been in practice for over 20 years and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons, through which she received her training in the art of Liposuction. She continues to practice Liposuction and gynecology in Lanham and Washington. She is married to Rodney L. Ellis, M.D., an Internist and Bariatric specialist (rosebudweightloss.com) with whom she shares an office. They have four children and three grandchildren.

Dr. Mussenden's desire is to empower women to take care of themselves physically, mentally, and spiritually. She is committed to helping men and women feel better about their physical appearance. The art of liposuction, or "liposculpture", allows Dr. Mussenden to assist men and women to look physically better and encourage them to maintain the better body shape attained through liposculpture. Her team consists of her surgical assistant, a board certified anesthetist and other support personnel.

Dr. Mussenden is often sought out by national and local media to discuss health related topics concerning women's health. Essence Magazine, a nationally published journal, has sought input for several featured articles.
